Cut direction

Teakwood must be ordered vein cut or cross cut, and the two are not variations on a theme. Vein cut runs along the bedding and gives the wood-grain stripes the stone is named for. Cross cut runs across it and gives a cloudy, mottled face with no stripes at all. The same block yields both. State the direction on the order — it is not a preference the yard can infer.
